In our bid to grow even more flowers here at Langford HQ, we've teamed up with the guys at the wonderful Bishy Barnabee's Cottage Garden Company.
Melanie, who runs Bishy Barnabee’s is passionate about all things flowers; and she explained to me why looking after the bees is critical - with pollinators in decline in the UK, gardens big and small can help with increasing the amount of flowering plants, especially those with pollen and nectar, as they are little presents for the bees to love and harvest.
Melanie's favourite pollinators include things like Nicotiana White Trumpets, Cosmos, Achillea, Verbena Bonariensis, Scabious, Borage, Cornflowers, Neteta, Clarkia Crown Double and my personal favourite, Nasturtium as both the leaves and the flowers themselves are deliciously peppery and great in a summer salad.
Melanie has also been so very kind, in donating me 50 x packets of flower seeds - so if you place an order this weekend (May 26th onwards), the first fifty customer will get a FREE packets of flower seeds.
I will also pop in a 20% OFF voucher for you to use on her online shop, Bishy Barnabees Cottage Garden!
