We are all different – we all have different needs, we like to eat different things, have different diets; different hobbies; different favourite places; wear different clothes and different make-up. The same can be said for organic skincare and finding out what is the best skincare routine that is right for you and your skin - and one that works for your lifestyle - is the key.
If you love the products you use and the results they give, this will not only make your skin look and feel better; it can make you feel better about yourself in general.
But it can be a minefield to work out what is best for you and your skin and with so many different products from different ranges; it can be tricky to know which will suit your skin and which won’t.
This is one of the reasons I offer my Skincare Sample Pack service to new customers - and also why I send out samples with every full sized order.
Adding extra samples to your order allows you to try other products from my organic skincare range to see if there is anything that your skin loves and that you would love to start including in your daily routine.
If there is something you are keen to try, just ask me for a sample and I’ll include it in your order. If you want to chat about your skin, that’s fine too – just give me a call and I’ll be happy to try and help you.
For me, tailoring your skincare and developing your own personal routine needs to consider many factors. It is not all about your skin type or your age; it is about more than that. It is also about any skin concerns or conditions you have; any allergies you have; any ingredients you don’t get on with. Whether you like particular smells and aromas or don’t like a particular texture. If you are applying something near your nose, you need to like the smell. If you are applying something to your skin, you need to like the feel of it on your skin too.
There are of course some key stages in a skincare routine and then there are others that are optional.
One important consideration though, is time and timings.
On a day to day basis, what works in the morning may not be right for the evening. Equally as the seasons change so does our skin and so does our skincare needs. As the years evolve, again our skin changes and so do our skincare needs. It’s not just about getting older - hormonal imbalances, health issues, medication and life stages, can also impact our skin. So it’s important to re-visit your routine and tweak it when your skin needs it.
My aim is to help you feel great about your skin – always.
I’ll be writing more about the different skincare routine stages and how you can find the right solution and product for you and your skin but in the meantime, please get in touch if you would like some help now.
Whether you are just starting to experiment with skincare and want to develop your first skincare routine; or if you feel like your skin concerns have changed recently or you just want to double check if your current routine is right for you at this point in time, please get in touch and I’d be delighted to help you develop your own routine and ritual.
